DENTAL SERVICES
Pet dental care is one of the most overlooked element of a pet’s overall health. More than half of all dogs and cats have some form of periodontal (gum) disease by the time they are 3 years of age. Periodontal disease could induce Halitosis (bad breath), a painful mouth, tooth loss, and in progressive stages, could cause kidney and liver disease. The Modern Veterinary Clinic provides comprehensive pet dental care using state of the art equipment, including digital dental radiography.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING YOUR PET’S DENTAL PROCEDURE?
All dental procedures are performed under general anesthesia. An in-depth physical exam and blood panel will be studied prior to any anesthetic treatment. We closely monitor all patients with the aid of the latest technology and heat support to ensure your pet is always comfortable. We use IV (intravenous catheters) with all patients to safely administer fluids throughout the procedure. Your pet’s safety is always our #1 concern.
The Modern Vet understands the gravity of good oral health and offers complete pet dental care services at our practice. It is recommended to have a complete dental health check at least once a year. After examination, our vets can best determine what course of dental treatment is best suited for every unique case.
