VACCINATIONS

Veterinarians worldwide agree, that the increased use of pet vaccinations over the last century has saved the lives of innumerable animals. Vaccinations have also completely eradicated some common animal diseases altogether. It is recommended that all pets be vaccinated to protect them from a long list of infectious and possibly deadly diseases. If your cat or dog is unvaccinated and walks outdoors, there is a high likelihood that they may be infected by another animal. We definitely recommend vaccinating all pets to prevent diseases and illnesses.

YOUR PET’S VACCINATION SCHEDULE EXPLAINED

When designing a pet vaccination schedule, our veterinarians include both “core” and “non-core” vaccines. The difference between the two is that core vaccinations are foundational and mandatory and non-core vaccines are optional and may be recommended depending on your pet’s distinct health needs.

HOW OFTEN DO PETS NEED TO BE VACCINATED

After your cat or dog is vaccinated, while they are still young, our veterinarians will recommend specific annual vaccinations. Pets should have their shots updated every year. Modern Vet vaccines are great at keeping your pets healthy, however they do not last a lifetime. Regular vaccines are required to keep your cat or dog’s health at its best.

VACCIONATIONS AND YOUR PET’S LIFESTYLE

Some of the pets that we regularly see, spend most of their lives indoors. Other pets spend time both indoors and outdoors. In most situations, we recommend core vaccines only for indoor pets as they are at less risk of exposure to infections and illnesses. Pets that spend more time outdoors are more likely to be given non-core vaccines as they are more exposed to risks. Our vets will take your cat or dog’s lifestyle into account when designing your pet’s vaccination schedule.

WHY VACCINATE YOUR PETS?

Pet Vaccination is mandated by most countries including the U.A.E.

Protect your companion from infectious diseases and viruses.

Pet Immunization is a requirement for international travel.

Most dog parks, pet hotels, and grooming facilities require pets to be vaccinated.
