Dog Vaccinations Explained

What?

We vaccinate against the following diseases:

  • Canine Parvovirus
  • Canine Distemper
  • Leptospirosis
  • Hepatitis
  • Parainfluenza (Collectively: DHPPi/L)
  • Rabies
  • Kennel Cough

When?

Puppies start their vaccines at 8 weeks, and have a second booster at 10-12 weeks of age. A single booster vaccination each year is then given.

Why?

The diseases we vaccinate dogs again can and do kill. Vaccination is the most reliable way of protecting our pets.

Registration

In Dubai, pets must have a registration tag each year, when rabies is given.
